Alpenverein

"Alpenverein" publishes a series of detailed walking and climbing maps of the Austrian and German Alps. The high quality and the accuracy of the cartography of these maps and their suitability of scale (1/25,000) make these maps essential for the experienced climber and alpinist. Hiking paths, indicating sections with fixed climbing ropes, campsites and various kinds of mountain huts and refuges are clearly highlighted on the maps. Several of these maps are also published in specific ski editions with ski routes superimposed on the map bases.
Today Alpenverein has also produced digital versions of their maps and can supply them on a DVD.
Alpenverein also publishes "Expedition" maps (scale: 1/50,000 – 1/100,000) for specific regions in Nepal, Peru, Bolivia, Pakistan and Afghanistan.
